Ah, the question we have all been waiting for, do backlinks help drive traffic to your website? I’m gonna cut straight to the chase and tell you a BIG fat YES! Backlinks 100% make up 75% of your websites traffic, without a backlink you won’t see the traffic that you will want to see. For those of you who don’t know what a backlink is, it is simply your own personal website displayed on someone else’s relating website usually displayed in anchor text. You see you can kind of look at it like this way, the person with the most votes wins right? Backlinks are used in the same manner. If somone finds your website interesting or helpful for there website ranking, you will be rewarded with a link on there site, the more backlinks you have out there preferably on higher page rank sites, the more traffic will be driven to your website.
Driving Traffic To Your Website Takes Time:
Like anything else out there, it does take a considerable amount of time to start receiving alot of traffic/visitors to your website. If you stay at it long enough, your links to other sites will just start flowing naturally, and you will move right on up in the search engines. So your probably wondering well where do I start to get my own backlinks for my website since I’m just starting out. There are thousands of Free directories out there that you simply sign up to and place your website on there site, boom that’s one backlink! There are certain factors for each backlink you receive. It could take up to 1,000 backlinks with a page 0-1 ranking to get you a decent amount of traffic to your website. But the reality of it is, if you target a page 4-5 ranking and are able to get a backlink to that site, you could a ton of traffic within a very short time come from just that one unique site.
